Project Manager

The project manager provides project leadership and assumes responsibility for scope, schedule, cost and overall performance for all assigned projects. Additionally, PM is also responsible for project engineering requirements, process engineering, equipment sizing and drawing review.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage project schedules and milestones to ensure quality and timeliness for all project deliverables of assigned customer projects.

  • Ensure that the project scope of work is fully understood by the project team with clearly identified roles and responsibilities providing proper direction and reporting to all stakeholders such as customer, internal departments and management.

  • Manages the internal communication process and acts as a single point contact for all customer communications.

  • Supports commercial lead in the risk review process; define and quantify risks during the operations phase.

  • Constantly monitors and reports the necessary key performances indicators. Takes proactive approach regarding all necessary actions and decisions to guarantee time, financial, quality and safety performance to maximize the allocated project scope's goals achievements.

  • Addresses project timing issues by deciding on actions and leading them in consideration of the defined strategy. Immediately informs management of any impact on the overall performance of the project.

  • Drives capacity utilization and business case scenario as a function of forecasts.

  • Identifies and documents best practices and processes as related to implementations.

  • Facilitate and / or support project coordination meetings.

  • Prepare monthly project progress updates for customer as required.

  • Coordinate clarification and finalization of subcontract bid documents

  • Project cash flow projections.

  • Manage and record all project changes, internal and customer changes.

  • Coordinate invoicing of vendors and of client with project accounting.

  • Work with Project Controlling group to develop cost reports and monthly updates and cockpit charts.

  • Monitor site activities for schedule compliance, costs and health and safety.

  • Conduct internal and external project closeouts, generate and distribute closeout report and lessons learned and initiate final payment.

  • Manage / approve warranty requests from the customer.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering fields required or 5 years minimum experience in Project Management. Evidence of complex OEM assignments with multiple stakeholders, integration of various deliverables, challenging timelines and budget constraints. MBA a plus.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing design and processes required. Scientific analysis, root cause analysis skills, problem-solving techniques, and applied math.

  • Proven leadership experience working with and driving performance of cross-functional teams. Must be able to create positive, mutually beneficial business relationships with customers, operations personnel, sales and other functional areas.

  • Track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, an attention to detail and creativity, and ability to complete necessary job tasks in a professional manner required.

  • Strong customer focus and willingness to engage for collaborative success of all projects.

  • Position related experience in similar industry strongly preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project

  • Basic knowledge of Controls Engineering is a plus.

  • Electrical hardwire drawings

  • Basic PLC control principles

  • Basic understanding of heavy equipment installation procedures.

Electrical Controls Engineer

Duo is currently seeking to hire an experienced Controls Engineer. We desire a candidate with the necessary applicable experience and a track record of growth and success to perform both electrical hardware design and PLC & HMI programming for custom automation utilizing Fanuc or ABB robot systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PLC programming, ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams

  • HMI development on multiple platforms

  • Electrical system assembly

  • Systems integration

  • Equipment debug

  • On-site machine start-up

Requirements 

  • Strong PLC and HMI programming and development skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Ethernet communications and data transfer to other systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Adept at working with a team to complete a machine on time and on budget

  • Must be able to travel and work overtime as required

  • Ability to read and interpret written work instructions, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams

  • Self-starter with the ability to show initiative/anticipate work to be completed

  • Observe strict confidentiality in all aspects of services provided

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • CAD knowledge is a plus

  • Basic robotic knowledge is a plus

Candidate Profile 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of an Automation Engineering Technology degree and relevant work experience

  • Ideally, 3+ years of machine control and programming experience

  • Mechanically inclined, strong problem-solving skills

Service Technician

Duo is currently seeking to hire an experienced service technician with robotics experience, preferably with Fanuc and/or ABB robots.  In addition, the service technician should have good mechanical and electrical skills to support our team. This is a self-motivated position that is in a technology driven and customer-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Robot programming teaching and offline programming

  • Electrical and mechanical system assembly and testing in house

  • Starting up machines and training at customer sites

  • Customer technical support and service on site

Requirements 

  • Candidates should have experience with starting up a new robot, full robot i/o configuration, loading programs, diagnosing errors/faults, as well as path programming. 

  • Good technical knowledge & skills with ideally some PLC experience

  • Self starter with the ability to show initiative/anticipate work to be completed

  • Experienced handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously

  • Able to interact successfully with colleagues and customers 

  • Able to observe strict confidentiality in all aspects of services provided

  • CAD knowledge is a plus

Candidate Profile 

  • Automation / Electrical education background

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in robotics and automation

  • Mechanically inclined, strong problem-solving skills
